Glavotok is about 13 km from Krk, if you are in town of Krk, to reach the village, you have to return back towards the bridge and follow signs Glavotok - Valbiska. From Valbiska you can take the ferry boat for Cres and Losinj. The first part of the road is very comfortable but as you approach the town through some houses, the road becomes more narrow. Although asphalted has made me think of a former mule-track, two cars passing have to almost stop to pass.
At one point between the houses you'll find an indication, turn on the right side for the camping Glavotok and left side for the beach that you can see in the pictures. Beware if you have a caravan, i not advise you to
turn left you'll will probably not be able to return back.
The forest that surrounds the village is under heritage protection. In the bay there is a small beach, the size almost a private beach and a jetty where you can sunbathe and swim, a small parking lot for a dozen cars, a convent and a bar to drink.
The convent had previously been the vacation home of the prince Frankopan which decided to give it to the friar Bošnjak Matija far in 1468. The small center of Glavotok was born around the Franciscan friary.
I council Glavotok to the quiet couples and families whose kids just want to swim or take a sun. In the port there are some boats, probably someone is willing to rent them too. The beach is with gravel, cement and stones.
