Kornić is a quiet small town which in last years growed visibly. Unfortunatly part of the church and essential services the town does not have its own square and tourist walk. If you like to explore and walk there are numerous streets to look at, a small museum, the tourist office, the supermarket, the bar and the post office. The name of Kornić probably comes from the Latin word "cornu" taht means horn or the word "cornix" or crow, birds that can be seen today in the area of Kornić.

Kornić is at the center of the island of Krk in a position that tanks to the roads built in recent years describe as a strategic post. It allows you to pass the time in peace in one of the villas with views of the bay and reach other near destinations quickly. It is about six kilometers from the town of Krk, three km from Punat, five hundred meters from the sea and ten kilometers from Baška.

The view that you can enjoy from the first houses is enchanting.You can see the bay of Punat, the island of Košljun, Marina Punat with the boats and yachts moored, and the town of Punat.

The church of st. Dunat is at the crossroads to turn to Kornić, it was constructed at the 13th century and is present in every photo. With the study of solar radiation prof.Mladen Pejakovic has successfully demonstrated that the church is also a solar calendar. To look at it noone could say that.

Informations and useful tips:

1. In the port you can moor small boats and rafts, there is no reservation required;
2. The beach distance about 500 meters, slightly downhill from the center of the village;
3. In the village there is a supermarket, a bakery store, post office, a little supermarket, a bar, a church, individuals who sell cheese and oil;
4. The sand near the beach was transported on site to allow you to play a Beach Volley barefoot for the rest of it is gravel, rocks and cement;
