Porat is a town in the region of Dubašnica, the same which Malinska belongs, where you can easily reach on foot or by bicycle. This is a small fishing village grew around the monastery.
Even here we can find traces of the family Frankopan in fact the building that currently host the convent and the museum in the past belonged to them.
Inside the monastery there is a consecrated church of Saint Maria Maddalena.
Useful informations:
- the beach of Porat is partly rocky, partly with fine gravel and pebbles in the shade of pine;
- you can visit the monastery and the museum that collects furniture and sacred objects of everyday use;
- you can do a nice walk along the trails in the woods and fields;
